Looking for a quick and delicious chicken dinner with a sweet and savory twist? These air fryer chicken tenders are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a rich honey butter garlic glaze that makes them absolutely irresistible. Perfect for a weeknight meal or as a party appetizer, this recipe combines comfort and flavor in every bite — and the best part? It’s made in the air fryer, so it’s faster and lighter than deep frying!
Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) chicken tenders
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced (adjust to taste)
Salt and black pepper, to season
Optional: breadcrumbs or flour for coating
Optional: dipping sauce of your choice (like honey mustard or ranch)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes.
2. Season the Chicken:
Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. Season them with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
3. Optional Coating:
For an extra crispy texture, lightly coat each tender in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour.
4. Cook the Chicken:
Place the tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F / 74°C).
5. Make the Honey Butter Sauce:
While the chicken cooks, mix the melted butter and honey in a small bowl until smooth.
6. Glaze the Tenders:
Once the tenders are done, immediately toss them in the honey butter mixture until well coated.
7. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside veggies or fries for a complete meal.
